Your TikTok Shop Account Health Rating (AHR) is a score from 0 to 1,000 that starts at 200 and drops when you break a policy or miss a performance standard. The things that hurt it most are selling prohibited or counterfeit products, missing or fake qualifications, IP infringement, late dispatch, seller-fault cancellations, and slow customer replies. Points come back when they expire (180 days in the US and UK, 90 days in Southeast Asia) or when you win an appeal. Stay above 150 to avoid milestone restrictions.
How The Score Works
AHR is TikTok’s snapshot of your shop’s policy health. Every seller starts at 200 points. You earn points by completing orders and passing policy quizzes, and you lose points for violations. The size of a deduction depends on how severe the violation is and how often it happens.
AHR is a compliance score, so it is separate from the customer-experience scores you may also see. We cover that difference below.
US Vs UK Vs Southeast Asia At A Glance
Category | United States | United Kingdom | Southeast Asia (ID, PH, SG, TH, VN) |
|---|---|---|---|

Deduction values published? | No, shown per violation in Seller Center | No, shown per violation in Seller Center | Yes, a table by violation type |
Two details trip people up:
- Orders only count if they stay clean. Returned, refunded, cancelled, or defective orders, and sample orders, don’t earn points in the US. The UK page also excludes late-dispatched orders. The SEA page excludes late orders and orders tied to high negative feedback or severe violations.
- Points expire. Every point added or deducted resets after the window ends. That is why your score can change even when nothing new happens.
What Hurts Your Score, Ranked
TikTok groups violations into categories (listing quality, intellectual property, fulfillment, and so on). That tells you where a problem sits but not how bad it is. So we’ve ranked them by severity instead.
About the Numbers
TikTok’s US and UK pages do not publish point values per violation. The values below come from TikTok’s Southeast Asia page, where “X points up to shop closure” means X is the minimum and the penalty can escalate. They show relative severity, which is useful for US and UK sellers too, but your own violation record is the only source for US and UK deductions.
Tier 1: Can End Your Shop
These carry shop closure in the published table, or the highest deductions.
Violation | SEA deduction | What triggers it |
|---|---|---|
Reproduced content | Shop closure | Posting content that copies someone else’s, including via a linked creator |
Activities prohibited by laws and regulations | Shop closure | Anything illegal where you operate |
Inauthentic qualifications | 50 points | Submitting fake or altered documents |
Listing or shipping prohibited products | 25 points, up to closure | Items TikTok bans outright |
Missing qualifications | 25 points, up to closure | Selling a regulated item without the required approval |
How to avoid it: Check the prohibited and restricted lists before you source inventory, not after you list. Keep every qualification document genuine, current, and matched to the exact product.
Tier 2: Heavy Hits
These violations can result in significant deductions, especially when they involve product authenticity or expired documentation.
Violation | SEA deduction | What triggers it |
|---|---|---|
Counterfeit products | 15 points, up to closure | Selling fakes, or being unable to prove authenticity |
Knockoff products | Up to 15 points | Products that imitate a brand’s design or identity |
Expired qualifications | 15 points, up to closure | A document that was valid at listing but has since lapsed |
How to avoid it: Keep supplier invoices, purchase orders, and brand authorization letters on file. Put a renewal date for every qualification in your calendar.
Tier 3: Mid-Range, Easy To Underestimate
These violations may seem manageable at first, but repeated communication, content, and promotion issues can quickly add up and affect your Account Health Rating.
Violation | SEA deduction | What triggers it |
|---|---|---|
Inappropriate or prohibited customer communication | Up to 50 points | Taking buyers off-platform, abusive or banned messaging |
Low 12-hour response rate | Up to 20 points | Slow or empty replies to buyer messages |
Intellectual property (IP) infringement | 5 points, up to closure | Using a brand’s name, logo, or images without rights |
Inconsistent product promotion | 5 points, up to closure | The promoted product doesn’t match what’s sold |
Prohibited or unsupported product promotion | 25 points, up to closure | Promoting banned products in videos or LIVE |
How to avoid it: Write customer-service rules that forbid off-platform contact and unapproved claims. Make sure everyone who creates content for your shop knows the promotion rules (more on this in the hidden-killers section).
Tier 4: Small But Repeatable
These operational issues may carry smaller individual deductions, but repeated fulfillment and order-management problems can gradually reduce your Account Health Rating.
Violation | SEA deduction | What triggers it |
|---|---|---|
High Late Dispatch Rate (LDR) | Up to 10 points | Orders not handed to the carrier in time |
High Seller-Fault Cancellation Rate (SFCR) | Up to 10 points | You cancel because of stock, pricing, or processing errors |
High Seller-Fault Return/Refund Rate | 5 points | Returns caused by wrong items, defects, or bad listings |
Shipping items “Significantly Not As Described” (SNAD) | 5 points, up to closure | The item is materially different from the listing |
Why this tier matters most: The big violations are rare. These are the ones an ordinary, honest shop hits again and again. Ten points sounds minor until you do the math: a shop that earns 4 points per 200 clean orders needs about 500 clean orders to earn back a single 10-point deduction. Operational problems are expensive precisely because they repeat.
Other US And UK Categories To Know
TikTok’s US and UK pages list these violation groups without point values:
- Product compliance: listing prohibited products
- Product safety: recalls and safety issues
- Listing quality: miscategorization and incomplete product information
- Intellectual property: trademark or copyright infringement, counterfeits, missing brand authorization
- Fair trading: fraudulent orders and suspicious transactions
- Fulfillment and after-sale: order fulfillment issues such as late dispatch
- Account management: onboarding, account finance, account dormancy
- Customer reviews: review manipulation and negative reviews
The Hidden Score Killers
These are the ways sellers lose points without realizing they did anything wrong.
- One bad listing, copied many times. TikTok weighs severity and frequency. If a misleading claim or restricted item sits in one listing and you duplicated it across variations or similar products, a single mistake can become a pattern. After any violation, audit every listing with the same wording, images, supplier, or product type, not just the flagged one.
- Your creators can cost you points. TikTok’s SEA page notes that joint penalties may apply to your shop if your linked creator account breaches platform policies or guidelines. If you work with affiliates or run LIVE sessions, their conduct is part of your risk.
- Warnings you ignore. Some violations offer a correction or appeal option with a deadline. If you let it pass, a fixable problem becomes enforced.
- Orders that don’t earn points. Your rolling score depends partly on clean completed orders. A shop with heavy returns or cancellations loses the recovery engine that offsets deductions.
- The expiry cliff. Because earned points also expire, a shop that had a strong stretch of orders can see its score slip as those points age out, even with no new violation.
- Assuming the dashboard is enough. The AHR number tells you how healthy you are, not why. The reason sits inside each violation record.
What Happens At Each Milestone
When your score falls to 150, 100, 50, or 0, TikTok may apply milestone enforcement on top of any penalties from the violations themselves. The consequences differ by region: the US and Southeast Asia restrict listings, campaigns and benefits, while the UK holds back withdrawals of your funds.
Score | US | UK | Southeast Asia |
|---|---|---|---|
150 | No new mega campaign enrollment and no new listings for 7 days | No withdrawing funds for 7 days | No new campaigns, user growth activities, free shipping subsidies, or platform benefits for 7 days; no TikTok Shop Affiliates Program enrollment for 7 days |
100 | The same restrictions for 14 days | No withdrawing funds for 14 days | The 14-day versions of the above, plus no creating or updating listings for 14 days, reduced LIVE traffic, and no Shop Tab recommendations for 14 days |
50 | The same restrictions for 28 days | No withdrawing funds for 30 days, and the shop’s transactions are prohibited | Shop deactivated for 28 days, plus no campaigns or platform benefits for 60 days |
0 | Account may be permanently deactivated | No withdrawing funds for 30 days, and the account is permanently deactivated | Shop permanently deactivated |
Reactivating a closed account is at TikTok’s sole discretion in all three regions. In the US, you may be able to take a milestone quiz to shorten the restrictions. Check the details in your Seller Center.
A Worked Example (SEA)
A shop sits at 200. It takes a 25-point deduction for a prohibited product, a 15-point deduction for a counterfeit, and a 50-point deduction for an inauthentic qualification. That is 200 − 25 − 15 − 50 = 110. The shop has already crossed the 150 milestone and sits just above the 100 milestone. These deductions use the minimum published values, so real ones could be higher.
AHR Vs Shop Performance Score Vs Store Rating
These are easy to confuse, and the differences matter.
Category | AHR | Shop Performance Score (US and UK) | Store Rating (SEA) |
|---|---|---|---|
Measures | Policy compliance | Product satisfaction, order fulfillment, customer service | Product satisfaction, fulfillment and logistics, customer service |
Window | 180 days (US and UK), 90 days (SEA) | 90 days | 60 days |
Scale | 0 to 1,000 | 0 to 5 | Per TikTok |
Can trigger enforcement? | Yes | No, it unlocks rewards | Unlocks benefits |
Visible to customers? | No (per the SEA page) | Per TikTok | Yes |
In short: AHR is the one that can restrict you. A low performance score costs you perks, while a low AHR can cost you your listings, your payouts, or your account.
How To Diagnose A Score Drop
Open Seller Center → Account Health. The exact menu names can vary by region, so look for Account Health Rating and Violation Records.
- Check the date. Did a violation land recently, or did old points expire?
- Open every violation record, not just the total. Note the policy cited, the affected listing or order, and the points deducted.
- Look for a deadline. Pending violations may allow a correction before enforcement starts.
- Find the pattern. Are several violations from the same listing, supplier, carrier, or staff member?
- Check for a linked quiz. A perfect score on the related policy quiz can earn points back.
- Measure the distance to the next milestone (150 first). TikTok may also warn you when you are close, so act on that warning right away.
Some figures commonly cited for fulfillment and service targets are a Late Dispatch Rate at or below roughly 4%, enforcement above roughly 10%, and a customer-service response rate target around 90%. They come from seller guides, not the official pages above, so confirm the current thresholds in your own Seller Center before building processes around them.
How To Recover
There is no single button that restores your score. Recovery is a combination of these levers.
Lever | What it does | When it applies |
|---|---|---|
Correction | Fix the issue before enforcement; if approved, enforcement is cancelled | Only certain violations, before the deadline |
Appeal | Dispute a decision you believe is wrong; success restores deducted points | Via the violation ticket |
Policy quiz | A perfect score on the quiz linked to your violation earns points | Only offered after a violation |
Milestone quiz (US) | Can shorten milestone restrictions | When you hit a milestone |
Clean orders | Steady points from completed orders | Ongoing, capped weekly |
Waiting | Deductions reset when the window ends | 180 days (US and UK), 90 days (SEA) |
Appeal tips. Argue the specific policy reason in the notice. Attach evidence that matches it, such as invoices, authorization letters, listing screenshots, or shipping records. Don’t claim a system error unless you can show one. Appeal deadlines are time-limited and have commonly been reported as 30 days for a first appeal and 15 days for a second, with tighter limits for some immediate enforcement. Check the dates on your own notice.

UK note: In the UK you can’t appeal an AHR enforcement itself, only the policy violation that caused the low score. If that appeal succeeds, the enforcement is removed and your score rises above the threshold.
Recovery math (US, illustrative): order points come in steps of 4 per 200 finished orders. A shop completing about 400 clean orders in a stretch would earn roughly 8 points from orders. Recovering a large deduction through volume alone takes a long time, so fix the cause first and treat order points as the slow supplement.

How Tiksly Can Help Protect Your Account Health
Most points shops lose trace back to content, promotion, and day-to-day store management. As a TikTok Shop Official Creative Partner, Tiksly works on those areas:
- Store turnaround. For a store at risk of closure, we stabilize the account first, then rebuild sales on top of a healthier foundation. You can have a look at our TikTok Shop recovery case study where Tiksly helped a brand reduce its violation points from 42 to 24, improve its health score from 1.9 to 4.3, and generate more than $8,000 in sales within one month.
- Creator vetting and briefing. A linked creator’s breach can bring joint penalties, so we choose creators carefully and brief them on current promotion rules before they post.
- Compliant UGC and product content. Videos and listing content that match what you actually sell reduce inconsistent-promotion and “not as described” risk.
- A repeatable content system. Shared checklists and approval steps keep listings, videos, and LIVE sessions consistent as you scale.
Conclusion
The violations that end shops are rare and, for the most part, avoidable with basic diligence: genuine documents, authentic products, and honest listings. The ones that quietly erode a healthy score are operational: late dispatch, cancellations, slow replies, and repeated listing errors. Each costs only a few points, but they recur and they keep you from rebuilding. Fix the process, not just the notice.

FAQs
What is a good TikTok Shop Account Health Rating?
A score of 200 or above is in the healthy green zone in all three regions. TikTok’s US guidance is to keep it above 150 to avoid milestone enforcement.
Do AHR points expire?
Yes. Every point earned or deducted resets after the rolling window: 180 days in the US and UK and 90 days in Southeast Asia. Points restored through a successful appeal or correction are not subject to the same reset.
Why did my score change when I did nothing?
Older points aged out of the window, or weekly order points were recalculated. Both can move the score in either direction.
Can one violation close my shop?
Yes, for severe violations. Several items in the SEA table carry “up to shop closure” or shop closure outright, and the US and UK pages say deductions depend on severity and frequency.
What happens to a UK shop at 150 points?
TikTok may stop you withdrawing funds for 7 days. At 100 points it is 14 days, and at 50 points it is 30 days plus a ban on the shop’s transactions.
Can customers see my AHR?
TikTok’s SEA page says AHR is visible only to you in the Seller Center. That is different from Store Rating, which customers can see.
